The sacai x Nike LDWaffle Trainer “Green Gusto/Varsity Maize” is one of two colorways released of the unique collaboration. Japanese avant-garde fashion label sacai brings its distinct aesthetic to this retro-meets-future silhouette that is a hybrid combination of two vintage Nike running models, the LDV and Waffle Racer. The construction essentially layers the uppers of each model on top of each other, with two layers of suede and double Swooshes atop the mesh base. The foam midsole follows the same concept, stacking two sole units on top of one another. Double tongues and double laces complete the theme. This colorway combines a lime green/black Waffle Racer with the a maize/orange LDV. The limited edition sacai x Nike LDWaffle Trainer “Green Gusto/Varsity Maize” released in early 2019.
